In DIY Y CRAFTS Spring Wreath

Spring Wreath

By: Norma Juarez
I am so excited that Spring is right around the corner! The gloomy weather is starting to weigh me down and I'm itching to add some color to the outside of my home. I can almost smell the scent of freshly cut lawn.....as the snow falls gracefully outside my window. Patience is a virtue I do NOT have!
The month of March in our home is super busy as 4 out of the 7 members of the family celebrate birthdays. We are so cake and ice creamed out by the time the April birthday arrives. In light of this insanity, I figured I'd better squeeze out a small and simple project. I found this idea on Pinterest, (I know of all places). Here is the link to the original post.

Supplies (All purchased at Hobby Lobby on sale):

Paper Umbrella
Flowers (various sizes and colors)
Ribbon

There really is not much to it. I began with the taller branches towards the back and added the shorter flowers in the front. I also added a pinwheel and butterfly. You gather the umbrella super tight and then add a bow with a ribbon.

And there you have it folks! Super easy and cute!

Here is a wider shot on the pantry door. I love the burst of yellow!

If you make one, please share it here on Utah Mama Latina. We'd love to see them. The amount of variation in this project is immeasurable!

In Box Tops Childrens Educations Como funciona el programa de Box Tops educacion School partnership

Box Tops

by: Natalie Noguera

Have you ever asked yourself, what are BOX TOPS? Well in this article we will explain what they are and how it works.
Did you know that?
  • Box Tops are one of America’s largest school earnings loyalty programs
  • Over 80,000 K-8 schools participate.
  • Schools can use Box Tops cash to buy whatever they need.
  • You can send Box Tops to school anytime.
  • Each Box Top is worth 10¢ for your school.
  • Box Tops earnings are sent out to schools twice a year, in December and in April.
  • So far, America’s schools have earned over $600 million from Box Tops…and counting

1. Clip Box Tops from each package.

When you are in the grocery store make sure you look to see that the product has a BOX TOP coupon. They are usually on the top corner of the items.

2. Send the Box Tops to your school.

You can save them until you have accumulated a few. That way you don’t have to do multiple trips to the school.

3. Box Tops are each worth 10¢ for your school.

Your school’s Box Tops Coordinator will collect all the Box Tops and send them in so your school can get cash. Checks are mailed to schools twice a year. Your school can use the money for anything it wants. Computers, books, playground equipment and classroom parties are just some of the ways schools have chosen to use the funds raised through Box Tops for Education.

In COCINA Y RECETA cooking Cooking on a budget Latina desserts Flan Easy Flan Recipe Flan Casero Flan Recipe Homemade Flan

Flan Casero (Homemade Flan Recipe)

Lately I been craving all sort of foods, an easy craving to satisfied for me is making this homemade Flan, besides being very easy to make it is so Delicious!

Ingredientes/Ingredients

2 Latas de leche condensada/ 2 cans of condensed milk

2 Latas de leche evaporada/ 2 cans of evaporated milk

6 Huevos/ 6 eggs

2 cucharitas de vainilla/ 2 tablespoons of vanilla

1 Taza de azucar/ 1 cup of sugar

Mix the condensed milk, evaporated milk, eggs and vanilla in the blender then put it to a side. Then we will melt the sugar in a pan till it becomes like a syrup texture, once sugar is at this stage we will take the syrup and spread it evenly in the bottom of the baking pan, then pour the previously made mixture.
Pop it in the oven for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Once cooked pull out of oven and let it cool then leave in fridge over night. Next day turn the flan over and ENJOY! Like i said super easy and so delicious!

In Blogging Conference Utah Mama Latina

Our Experience at the Build Your Blog Conference

Utah Mamá Latina team and some new friends

"We had such an amazing time at the Build Your Blog Conference. Thanks to Taste of Home Magazine, part of our team was able to attend the Build Your Blog Conference which took place in The Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City! We were so excited to be attending what for most of us was our first blogging Conference experience, The Classes were not only informative but also super motivating and encouraging. We felt empower and walked out knowing that what we are trying to do with Utah Mamá Latina is unique and something which will benefit our community as a whole. Some of the classes we attended included Photography, Beggining blogging, Advanced blogging, Instagram 101, Branding and Pitching to companies. We also had the amazing opportunity to hear from motivational Speakers."

-Dennissa Ramirez

Ani's essentials for the conference

"I had the pleasure of being sponsored by Taste of Home to attend the Build Your Blog Conference it was an honor to go and represent such a distinctive company and of course be able to attend this conference along with some of my team members of Utah Mama Latina. I had an absolute wonderful time. I had so many highlights in this conference but my 2 absolute favorite were, all the social networking with so many companies that were eager to learn about the message behind Utah Mama Latina and of course The Blogger of the Year Gala Sponsored by The Tyler Robinson Foundation which is supported by the popular band, Imagine Dragons. Learning more about The Tyler Robinson Foundation was one of my absolute favorite things, the beauty that so many bloggers have the power to share and spread the message about something that is so special is just beautiful to me. So I left this Conference so much stronger and more ready to help change the world."

-Ani Allen

The Girls taking a little early morning Breakfast break to Eva's Bakery Boulangerie

We had a chance to meet some pretty amazing companies such as Get Away Today

A Sand Castle we got to make to enter a contest through Get Away Today

We also met some local companies which we love such as Boondocks!!

One of the coolest things about a blogging conferences is meeting up with old blogging friends and making new ones

Here hanging out with one of our Fave ever! Lindsey Miller Peterson from the Tyler Robinson Foundation

I cant begin to emphasize how much we enjoy all the food and delicious treats we got to eat. We took a little trip to the Grand America and visited La Bonne Vie and we all can agree that their handcrafted macarons and French pastries are so heavenly.

The Little America was so luxurious and beautiful

At the end of the day the experiences we lived were so  great, the things we learned priceless and the adventures we had were one in a million, till our next BYBC Conference!

¡Besos!
